These are sample GEDCOM files from several articles about GEDCOM issues, to wit Marriage in GEDCOM; No MARR without FAM, Same-Sex Marriage in GEDCOM and GEDCOM SEX. These GEDCOM files are provided as-is. You may find them useful in testing genealogy applications.

PAFCHILONLY.GED & FTMCHILONLY.GED

PAFCHILONLY.GED and FTMCHILONLY.GED are tiny GEDCOM test file.
PAFCHILONLY.GED is an unmodified PAF 5.2.18 GEDCOM file. FTMCHILONLY.GED is an unmodified Family Tree Maker for Windows 16 GEDCOM file. Both contain a children-only family created within the application; a FAM record without a FAM.HUSB or FAM.WIFE record, only FAM.CHIL records.
A children-only family links the children as siblings without having to know the parents, see the article Marriage in GEDCOM; No MARR without FAM for discussion and best practices. These files are provided to test GEDCOM import routines.

EMPTYFAM.GED

EMTPYFAM.GED is a tiny GEDCOM test file.
It is a manually created GEDCOM 5.5.1 file, containing an empty family; a FAM record without either a FAM.HUSB, a FAM.WIFE or a FAM.CHIL record. The article Marriage in GEDCOM; No MARR without FAM explains that this is valid GEDCOM, and provides best practices for dealing with it. The file is provided to test GEDCOM import routines.

MARR??.GED

MARRMM.GED, MARRFF.GED and MARRUU.GED are tiny GEDCOM test file.
It are manually created GEDCOM 5.5.1 files; MARRMM.GED contains a male-male marriage, MARRFF.GED contains a female-female marriage, and MARRUU.GED contains an unknown-unknown marriage.
The article Same-Sex Marriage in GEDCOM explains that this is valid GEDCOM. These files are provided to test GEDCOM import routines.

MARRSELF.GED

MARRSELF.GED is a tiny GEDCOM test file.
It is manually created GEDCOM 5.5.1 file, containing an individual married to themselves; the individual is both the FAM.HUSB and the FAM.WIFE. The article Same-Sex Marriage in GEDCOM explains that this is valid GEDCOM. The file is provided to test GEDCOM import routines.

UMF.GED

MARRSELF.GED is a tiny GEDCOM test file.
It is a manually created and valid GEDCOM 5.5.1 file, that demonstrates all three possible INDI.SEX values: U, M and F through a child of unknown gender with a father and mother. This is the example file from the article GEDCOM SEX.
