You do not need to use a graphic either.
These graphics are provided for those who wish to use graphical links.

You are granted a limited license to use these buttons. Details are on the Copyright page. The main conditions are that you copy and host the graphic on your own site, and use it for links back to this site.

small files

The strong, simple graphic design makes for small files. All these files are less than a kilobyte, and most are less than half a kilobyte.

linking code

All the buttons below are linked appropriately, and correct (X)HTML code is show below to it. If you place the button in a button directory, the code will work as is. If you place it elsewhere, you will have to edit it.

attributes

The graphical design does not include any text, but the title attribute on the link makes up for that. The mandatory alt attribute on the image is set to the sufficiently informative "linkbutton".
